BrassWind Landing was featured on a Travel Michigan Update with wtvbam.com Radio in Coldwater, Michigan on the Delaney in the Morning Show. One of Pure Michigan’s marketing programs referred the radio station to us. Sheree Lincoln handled the interview and shared information about the Inland Waterway and the Indian River area with regard to your Northern Michigan Getaway Vacation opportunities! PureMichigan.org is a great resource for tourism in Michigan. They reach out all around the State of Michigan as well as other regions of the United States. BrassWind Landing very much appreciates the opportunity to help spread the word about our beautiful area.

The Sturgeon River at Wolverine
Please remember to reserve your fall kayaking trip through BrassWind Landing Boat Rental. We are taking reservations for fall color tour river trips on the Indian River portion of the Inland Waterway and on the Sturgeon River. Sturgeon River Trips can start in Wolverine for a 2 hours trip or you can start at Fisher Woods in Indian River and head out onto Burt Lake to see the fall colors around Burt Lake which is about a 45 minute trip and is an easier part of the river. What does that mean for you as the paddler? It’s the easier part of the river where you will be less likely to tip over. We only rent kayaks that do exceptionally well on the Sturgeon River so our tip over rate is very low. Less than 30%. I would venture to say the tip over rate in a Remix Xp is less than 20%. I hope to have exact data for you soon.
Please call for reservations as our fall color trips our booking very quickly. We still have a few times slots available for Thursday, October 4th through Sunday, October 7th as well as from Thursday, October 11th through Sunday ,October 14th and finishing out the season with Sturgeon River and Indian River Trips on Thursday October 18th through Sunday October 21st, 2012.
If you are a die hard kayaker with cold weather gear, a wet suit, dry suits and neoprene boots or booties we will be renting kayaks throughout most of the winter based on reservations, your gear, the weather and our availability. Please call Richard or Sheree Lincoln for more information about Winter Kayak Trips in Northern Michigan at 231-238-4843 or if no response we may be off skiing. Call our Google Voice number at 231-753-8029 – it will ring to our cell phone.
The Art Gallery and Paddlesports Store maybe open Saturday, October 27th for a Fall Shopping eVent put together by Mary from Blooming Ideas in downtown Indian River. Stay tuned for more information on that.
