The Indian River trip launches on Burt Lake  at The Tuscarora Township Park at Devoe Beach and winds along the Inland Waterway of Northern Michigan. Mid Day trips you will pass pontoons boats and other kinds of boaters as you paddle past cottages, parks, a couple of restaurants, as well as the local fishing and bait shop, before going under the Straits Highway Bridge and North Central Trail Bridge. Up next you will pass a tributary at the confluence of the Little Sturgeon River on your right. Then you will pass the Marina Park boat launch, more cottages and Marinas before going under the  I75 bridge. After the bridge you follow the winding river out to the Indian River Spreads. The area after the bridge is lined with reed beds as it widens before it meets up with the Southern end of Mullett Lake.  This trip ends at a private estate off N Grandview Beach Road.  Enjoy paddling through town and then along the waterway watching for fish, loons, otters and other wildlife among the reed beds of the Indian River Spreads.
