BrassWind Landing Boat Rental LLC is a Paddle Company Running Trips on the Sturgeon River.
The section of the Sturgeon River that we run various river trips on is about 16 miles long and is a class I-II river according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Michigan is easier than in some areas of the United States and this makes it a great river adventure and a great place to start learning about white water and develop some paddling techniques. Some people prefer whitewater rafting, some kayaking and some tubing on the Sturgeon River. Our trips start just south of Wolverine or in Wolverine Michigan and follow the river north toward Indian River, Michigan. We also run kayak, canoe and stand up paddle board trips and rentals on the Indian River, the Crooked River and the Pigeon River (Kayak and Canoe Only). Fall Color Paddling Trips
Why not see the Fall Colors from a Paddle Board, Canoe or Kayak and enjoy a relaxing paddle from a different view: the water trails.
Sturgeon River, Indian River, Burt Lake, Mullett Lake or Crooked Lake & Crooked River
The Autumn colors usually are in full color change in Indian River around the 7th of October. That means that it could be a week earlier or a week later. Last year, in 2012, the colors were beautiful! Enjoy the photo gallery from with pictures taken by one of our customers. Photo credit to Joan Zeller Bonin! Thank you for taking a great fall color river trip on the Sturgeon River. What a great photo op and adventure with us at Arts and Adventure Paddlesports at BrassWind Landing. Enjoy the fall colors twice; head to Northern Michigan and then paddle the Muskegon in West Michigan the next weekend.
