Update Indian River Inland Waterway Conditions
It’s a gorgeous day on the Indian River and the beautiful Inland Waterway in Michigan! If you have not uncovered your boat yet, today is the day! Seize it!
We are open early season for the #Indianrivermichigan kayak trips and #BurtLake SUP and kayak rentals. Open today and tomorrow and next Saturday and Sunday for Memorial weekend. Join us for an authentic inland waterway adventure. Every trip is designed to help you have the best Northern Michigan Getaway Vacation. Call our reservation line at 231-235-7278 it rings to our cell phone. Regular summer hours start June 15th. Wednesday thru Sunday 10am – 5pm with additional days and hours by reservation based on our availability. Extended hours and days around the 4th of July. We will be closed June 3-5 for a family event.
Northern Michigan Adventure Paddle Trips
BrassWind Landing is the place for fun and adventure on Burt Lake & Mullett Lake with river trips on Sturgeon, Indian, Pigeon and Crooked Rivers. Take I75 to Exit 310 and turn North on Straits Highway 4 blocks to Mack Avenue. We have a mobile fleet for kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing. We offer SUP Yoga and new this year Paddleboarding lessons with Level 2 Certified PaddleFit Coach, Sheree Lincoln. You will find boats, boards and gear as well as unique art and gifts in our paddlesports shop and art gallery.
Almost all of our business is by reservation since we rent a custom mobile fleet of stand up paddleboards, kayaks and canoes. If you stop by and find our shop closed look for the yard sign that says we are out on a delivery please call our cell phones to find the next available paddle time or please leave a message to make a reservation for a future rental or river trip.
For the 2015 summer season we will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00pm with other times by reservation. If we are not in the shop call our reservation line at 231-335-7278. To reach Richard Lincoln at Innovative Septic Solutions call 231-760-0103.

Fall Color Paddling Trips
Why not see the Fall Colors from a Paddle Board, Canoe or Kayak and enjoy a relaxing paddle from a different view: the water trails.

The Autumn colors usually are in full color change in Indian River around the 7th of October. That means that it could be a week earlier or a week later. Arts and Adventure Paddlesports at BrassWind Landing in the Indian River Michigan area, is featured in the new Cheboygan Naturally Video along with other area businesses. This Why Cheboygan? video shows the fabulous waters surrounding the “tip of the mitt” of Northern Michigan and the surrounding landscapes, cities, towns and villages of Harbor Springs, Indian River, Cheboygan, and more. The footage is breath taking – even shows the curvature of the earth at the Straits of Mackinaw. This video was created to show a cross section of people who have moved here to open businesses in Cheboygan County and to encourage others to work, live and play here along the Inland Waterway and the shores of Lake Michigan. It shows recreational photos from the lakes, rivers and over 200 miles of shoreline and 450 miles of trails!
